MORRIS 8 SERIES 1..2 DOOR.

One of the great success stories of the pre-war UK motoring scene, the Morris 8 was the car that saved the Morris business. More luxurious than the Austin Seven and better equipped than Ford's Model Y, the Morris 8 proved so successful that over 164,000 had been sold by the time it was replaced by the series II I937. Even today there are still many people around who remember it with great affection, often as there first car.

First registered in London in December 1937, this late model Series I 2 door saloon is in lovely condition throughout and has clearly been fully restored at some point in the not too distant past although there are no bills to show exactly what was done or when. The car was in the hands of the last owner for 6 years, it comes with an old green log book spanning the period 1965 - 1978, throughout which time the car lived in Somerset.

Always in regular light use, an unbroken run of 17 old MOTs from 1995 to 2012 show that the car covered some 10,200 miles during this 17 year period.Lookin resplendent in green and black with aparticlarly fine interior. The car drives as well as it looks.

Apart from numerous Morris Monthly and Morris Register newsletters, the history file also contains a wealth of period sales brochures, parts catalogues and maintenance manuals that will keep the fortunate new owner amused for hours..Retaining its original number plate, this lovely old Morris is as good an example as you could wish to find and is sure to sttract loads of attention wherever it goes.
