1935 MORRIS EIGHT SERIES ONE RESTORED

Re advertised because the gentleman who agreed to purchase it could not find his winning lottery ticket.

The Morris eight was announced to the British motoring public in 1935 replacing the old Morris Minor. The Morris Eight was inspired by the Ford Motor Company's very successful 'Y' model. It was available in saloon, tourer and van versions. The standard specification included full instrumentation, hydraulically operated brakes, which were far superior to the Austin Seven's cable system and it's electric windscreen wipers put the vacuum operated version on the Ford 'Y' models to shame.

The very smart 2 door example we offer here has been subject to a comprehensive restoration over the last 10 years. The car has only had 2 owners in the last 20 years. Before the last owner acquired the Morris, it lay in storage for a number of years and was purchased by the last but one owner who proceeded in a full ground up rebuild. The history file contains a British Heritage certificate confirming that the car was built in the February of 1935. Therefore proofing that the car was a very early example.

Part exchange welcome, ancient or modern, funds either way.
