1960 MORRIS MINOR CONVERTIBLE. TOTALLY RESTORED

The Morris Minor 1000 Convertible, or Tourer to give the car it's correct name, is simplicity on 4 wheels, a Classic car that is very appealing indeed, particularly when it drives so smoothly. Front engine and rear wheel drive remain a winning formula today and when combined with such small proportions works extrmely well on this sixty something year old car. Even the modest 50 bhp power output can push the Morris Minor Convertible to 70 mph quick enough to keep up with modern traffic.

This 1960 example we offer here is an orignal factory produced model not a saloon converted. The car was totally rebuilt during the pandemic lockdown costing in excess of £14,000 in spares alone. The underneath is as good as the upside of the car At the time of the restoration the engine was rebuilt and the cylinder head was converted to run on unleaded fuel. The history file contains the car's 1960 buff log book confirming that the car was first registered in Wiltshire on 4th of October 1960. There is also a list of all owners from new. The file also contains a 60s BMC service book which contains 5 servcie stamps up to 1974. Finished in Yukon grey with a red interior including new carpets.Ready to enjoy.
