When announced, the MG Magnette was very unique in the market place, as a mid sized sporting saloon were as yet not fashionable. Designed by Gerald Palmer of Jowett Javelin and Riley Pathefinder fame, the Magnette first appeared in 1953, although sales did not commence until 1954. Today there is much to commend them to Classic Car Buyers, not least of all, is the fact that when you arrive at a show in one, the chances are you will have the only MG Magnette present.

The MG Magnette ZB we offer here was first registered on the 20th of November 1958. The car has had just 2 owners in the last thirty years. The last owner was a retired aircraft industry engineer, who purchased the car in 2005. He then set about a 15 yearfull  restoration, building the car to his own specification. The result is possibly one of. if not,the stand out car of all the Magnettes we have handled over the last 20 years.As one would expect from an aircraft engineer, the car is particularly nice to drive. The car has discreet direction indicators as opposed to the old semaphor system The Magnette is finished in maroon with cream leather interior.
